Covers from December 1939 when Dad and Monique went east for Xmas to find a gynecologist that could diagnose her imperforate hyman that was crippling their sex life, to the death of Monique in 1942, and Pop's departure from Miami. Plus ça change, plus c'est la mème chose! Eventually retyped into Jmonique.14d. 283 pages.

This is a complete CLEAN DRAFT of Jmonique.14d on my computer. Chapters 1-191. Includes my August 12, 2014 letter to Morris Witten, who will read and critique the book. First 131 pages cover Monique and Dad's childhoods and teens, first Monique's, then Dad's. Then book is their 1937-38 courtship; 1939-42 marriage in Berkeley; and ends with Monique's death in Miami Beach, 1942. Monique and Dad's courtship-marriage-and her death will later become BOOK ONE. 481 pages.

Many pages of edits, and Post-Its with rewrite suggestions. It covers my and Dad's life from 1970 until his death in Smithville, TX in 1998. Then an epilogue. Crammed with our letters, information in his journals, my visit to Europe in 1987 with 2nd wife Juanita, Dad's retirement in Smithville, etc. 237 pages.

Relates the 1970s and 80s until Pop dies in 1998. My many letters to Mamita before she died in 1977, Dad's teaching at UCCS, his 11 year retirement in Smithville, TX. My life and loves, marriage/divorce, visits to family in Europe, grilling Dad about Monique, his dying in 1997-98. 397 pages.
