The collection consists of 188 exhibition quality prints taken in New Mexico by Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information photographers during the Great Depression and World War II. These prints were made by master printer Eddie Dyba from the original negatives housed in the Library of Congress and were reproduced in Nancy Wood's book Heartland New Mexico (U.N.M. Press, 1990).
