Scope and Content From the Collection: The collection consists of photographic memorabilia of the Old West, primarily concerning outlaws and cowboys. Many photos concern the exploits of Black Jack Ketchum and his gang and include photos of his execution by hanging. Others show cowboys working longhorn cattle on the range at the Cross-L Ranch in Union County and the Prairie Cattle Co. and life in their camps.
