Scope and Content From the Collection: The Rachel Walcott papers represent a bureaucratic dialogue between various government agencies concerning the murder of Samuel T. Walcott and James McNally, allegedly by two Navajo Indians on March 31, 1884, in the Territory of Arizona. The Indians, Osh-ka-ni-ne and Ten-nai-tso-si were pursued and arrested on July 10, and July 18, 1884.
