The Elsberg papers consist of court documents related to Elsberg's complaint against his business partner Jacob Amberg and other New Mexico merchants in 1869. In the collection are transcripts of the original complaint and responses to the complaint by Herman Ilfeld, Samuel B. Wheelock, Adolph Letcher and Charles Ilfeld.
