Diles Que No Me Maten; This story is about a man named Juvencio Nava who asked his son Justino to prevent his execution. Juvencio killed Don Lupe who was the father of the colonel who is about to execute him. Juvencio and Don Lupe had a conflict many years ago because Don Lupe did not allow Juvencio's farm animals to eat in his land. 2. Luvina. This story is about a teacher who talks about the town of Luvina to a guy who is going to be the new teacher in that town.

Scope and Content From the Collection: The collection consists of 591 recordings of folk songs, folklore and local histories collected by Ruben Cobos from 1944-1974 in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Also included in the collection are about 270 additional recordings of selected music - a few from New Mexico, many from Mexico and Latin America, and others from Spain, Europe and the U.S. The recordings vary in quality between good, fair, and poor.
