The University of New Mexico Art, Music, and Engineering Publications and Photographs Collection

Founded in 1962, the University of New Mexico Art Museum (UNMAM) has played a pivotal role as a teaching museum, amassing the largest collection of artwork in New Mexico over six decades. The museum's permanent collection is central to its mission, supporting the educational endeavors of faculty and students alike. Complementing this cultural repository are the University's Department of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance, which collectively aim to enrich the region's cultural landscape through rigorous education and vibrant artistic expression. The archival collection housed at the University of New Mexico encompasses three main series: Art, Music, and Theatre Arts; Engineering; and Photography. Organized chronologically and alphabetically within each series, the collection predominantly comprises publications, brochures, and pamphlets related to the UNM Art Museum, Music and Theatre Arts departments, and the School of Engineering.
