Scope and Contents

The Kelleher photograph collection includes photography of people and performances from 1965 to 2020. Subjects include musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Ricky Le Jones, Jay Ferguson, Beach Boys, Ray Charles; and politicians and sports personalities such as Jimmy Carter and Muhammed Ali. The collection also includes personal family snapshots.

Richard C. Kelleher, who graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1975 with a BA in Communications, spent his professional life in the southwest (especially Denver, Colorado and Phoeniz, Arizona) working in the fields of marketing, media relations and digital marketing. He began his career as a reporter and photographer for the Daily Lobo. Photography has remained a lifelong interest; and Kelleher has documented in film many of famous people he has met and observed.
