Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of Anita Merle York’s scrapbook which she kept from 1923-1926, while an undergraduate student at UNM. The scrapbook contains photographs, postcards, newspaper clippings, dance cards, memorabilia, sports programs, and theater programs. Some loose items arrived with the scrapbook. These items were placed in a folder and include York’s diploma from UNM, a copy of her transcript, and a program from a concert.

Biographical Note
Anita Merle York came to UNM in 1923 from Eureka Springs, Arkansas. As an undergraduate student she majored in Arts and Sciences and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 1926. While at UNM she was an active participant in Alpha Delta Pi, Dramatic Club, and the YWCA.
