Scope and Content

Ruth Emmett McKowen's scrapbook contains photographs and memorabilia from her undergraduate days at the University of New Mexico. The scrapbook is extremely large and contains a wide variety of memorabilia including, but not limited to, pins, programs, dance cards, pennants, fabric samples, and feathers.

The scrapbook from Ruth Emmett McKowen was originally donated to the Alumni Association and transferred to the University Archives. For ease of access and preservation of the pages, the scrapbook has been disbound and pages placed in individual folders.

Ruth Emmett McKowen was originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended the University of New Mexico and graduated in 1916 as a home economics major.
