Argentina Photograph Collection

Scope and Content

This collection contains three photographs of artwork by exiled Spanish painter Maruja Mallo, taken by Mallo herself. The collection also includes a set of postcards entitled "Como es Buenos Aires en la Actualidad." These tourist postcards consist mainly of street scenes and urban landscapes.

This collection was assembled by the Center for Southwest Research. Materials may be added periodically. The three photographs by Maruja Mallo were separated from the Mexican Photo Collection, PICT 996-001, and originally labeled with this PICT identifier. The identifiers on the photographs were updated to reflect the new collection number, PICT 991-029, in January 2022.
