Scope and Content
Photographs of New Mexico Military Institute buildings and cadets. Some images depict training maneuvers, cadets at rifle range, and student life in the dormitories and outside with female friends. The collection may have belonged to a cadet named Van Riper and include his family pictures. Family photographs were taken at the Fields Studio in Harrisonville, Missouri. A greeting card from the school has a photograph of the class and a tiny calendar dated 1912.
