Scope and Content

Collection is comprised of paired frontal and three-quarter profile portrait photographs of a 69-year-old Mescalero Apache man. The prints were created using the collodion wet plates process, with the glass plate negative image printed on 31x38 inch photographic paper (images are 30x37.5 inches, each).

The collection is open for research. Use of goloves is requested when handling the prints.

Eric Overton, born 1980 in Utah and currently living in Espanola, NM, is a physician, photographer, filmmmaker and sculptor.
