Scope and Content
The Alex Traube Photographs Collection contains two of his major photo series “Las Vegas, New Mexico: A portrait” from 1982 and the “New Mexico Artists: Now & Then” from 2014, which some of where used in his published books. The Collection also includes a THE Feature of the “Now & Then” Series from 2015 and digital versions on a disc of his images.

Biography
Alex Traube, an artist based in New Mexico, has been working since the 1970’s as a professional photographer creating series of portraits of people and places and documenting “his life in photography”. He has received several awards for his work and is included in major museum collections throughout the United States.

Abstract
Images from two series: “Las Vegas, New Mexico: A Portrait” and “New Mexico Artists: Then & Now,” as well as a THE magazine from 2015 including a feature of Alex Traube’s photographic series “Then & Now.” Additional "notable New Mexicans" were acquired in 2019.
