The collection contains 76 color and "real photograph" postcards and 14 photographs collected by Sandra Lynn in the course of her research on historic lodgings in New Mexico. Hotels in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas are also pictured.

Biography
Sandra Dykes Lynn was born on September 16, 1944 in Longview, Texas. She was a poet, teacher, historian, botanist, mother, and grandmother. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Texas and her M.A. in English from University of California at Berkeley. Sandra Lynn moved to New Mexico in 1988. She was a Professor of English, first at UNM and later at NMSU, Carlsbad. She travelled around New Mexico conducting historical research. A result of that research is her book, Windows on the Past: Historic Lodgings of New Mexico. Lynn passed away on July 16, 2013.
