Scope and Content
Collection consists of photographs of poet Belinda Subraman, who published Gypsy, a small press literary journal with her husband S. Ramanth. Other photos portray writers and friends of Ms. Subraman including: Judson Crews, Wendell Anderson, George Montgomery, Allen Ginsberg, Ron Andwal(?), Ave Jeanne, Thomas Kretz(?), Lyn Lifshin, Livio Farallo, Dan Siwli, Robert Borgatti, Marvin Malone, Murlene Traw, Arden Tice, Mark Weber, S. Ramnath, and Todd Moore. Folder 2 contains pictures of rock and folk music stars- Tina Turner, Donovan, Cat Liles, Patti Smith, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1987. Donovan is shown performing on stage. Some prints are in color and they measure 8 x 10 in. or smaller.

Biography
Sburaman was a poet, born in Wilkesboro, N.C., in 1953. Moved from North Carolina in 1978 and lived all over the United States, Europe, and Asia for many years, eventually settling in El Paso, Texas. While living in Germany, Subraman and her husband started a small literary magazine called Gypsy. She has published over 300 poems and short stories. She has used and published under the names Mary Eldreth and Belinda Subramanian.
