This collection contains photographs documenting the career of hydrogeologist C. V. Theis. It contains several photographs of geologic expeditions and conferences, including a photograph of an 1897 USGS expedition. Also includes photos of C. V. Theis in his later years and at his retirement party.

Biography

C. V. Theis was a research hydrologist in the Albuquerque, New Mexico. He worked for the Office of the United States Geological Survey from 1936 until the mid-1980s.
