Scope and Content

Collection of 30 black-and-white photographic prints of itinerant photographers and their clients, taken in Guatemalan villages in the 1970s. These portraits include a wealth of information concerning local costume, photographers' equipment, backdrops and props. Includes an accompanying text by Avon Neal. A book, Los Ambulantes, the Itinerant Photographers of Guatemala was published in 1982 incorporating these photographs by Ann Parker.
