Scope and Content
The collection consists of transcripts and recordings of speeches presented at the 14th National Science Fair International which took place in Albuquerque (NM), May 6-10, 1963. The event was sponsored by the New Mexico Academy of Science. Opening ceremonies included President John F. Kennedy, Jack M. Campbell, and A. Westfall. Senator Clinton P. Anderson introduced the main speaker, Glenn T. Seaborg. Presenters included: Admiral Hyrum Rickover, General Bernard A. Schriever, Dr. Wernher von Braun, Dr. James W. Warwick, Capt. Joseph Kittinger, Dr. Willard F. Libby, Dr. Fred L. Ribe, Dr. Joel Hildebrand.

Reel to reel tapes stored in B3; master audio files are stored on the library’s file server.
Processing Information
Audio reformatted from reel to reel to CD in July 2013. Recording #4 is a 2" video tape which has not been reformatted as of 7/2013.
