Abstract

Contains material produced and collected by the Citizens' Information Committee of Martineztown and by Frank Martinez including files of the Albuquerque Urban Coalition and other neighborhood organizations and associations and persons involved with urban renewal. Collection documents the communities early 1970's efforts to fight condemnation by city and the continued efforts by Frank Martinez and others towards economic and housing development, neighborhood infrastructure, renovation and community cooperation and pride in one of Albuquerque most important historical and modern urban intersections.The collection contains two series. Series 1 is material deposited in 2016 and series 2 contains material deposited on 12/14/2022.
