Scope and Content

This small collection contains correspondence and reports concerning the water supply in Silver City, New Mexico between 1923 and 1944. The collection includes geological data, well records, suggestions for pump testing, and an application with associated correspondence, including a proposal and budget for a "new" Silver City water supply. The correspondence is between City officials, the U.S. Geological Survey, the War Production Board, and John Sully of Hurley, New Mexico. A map, "Present and Potential Water Supply Systems" is located with oversize manuscript materials.
