Scope and Content
The Harriet Smith papers is a small collection containing two copies of her doctoral dissertation, one folder of class notes on Spanish literature and one folder of Spanish language research materials. The title of the dissertation is A Critical Study of the Life and Works of the Brothers Serafin and Joaquin Alvarez Quintero. These two brothers were Spanish playwrights who were born near Seville in the 1870's. The research materials include samples of the Quintero's work published in small magazines. This folder also contains some correspondence.
