Ward Hicks Advertising Printing Samples

 Collection
Identifier: MSS-411-BC

Scope and Content

This collection consists of advertising samples including, but not limited to greeting cards, labels, invitations, announcements, brochures, maps, and letterheads. The majority of the collection focuses on businesses, politics, tourism, and events in the Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and surrounding areas, but there is a representation of material from throughout the State of New Mexico.

The addition to the collection contains a sampling of materials similar to those contained in the original collection. A significant portion of the materials in the addition were printed by Valliant Printing Company. The addition may have been part of the original collection; existing documentation states that the collection was divided into three separate collections in 1982, but does not detail what those three collections are. Item numbers for the original collection have been maintained in this inventory. An oversized folder contains 4 folders of materials from the addition.
