Historical Information

The exact dates of the A. Trossello Company are not known, but are generally thought to be circa 1906-1916. Letterhead of the company shows that it was a dry goods store formally known as "A. Trossello, Dealer in Clothing, Hats, Shoes, Jewelry and Groceries; Hay, Grain and Native Products." The company was located at 1005 South Second in Albuquerque. Albuquerque City Directories of the time show that the address of 1005-7 South Second was also the residence of the Trossello family and that part of the residence was also used as a boarding house. The city directories show Antonio Trossello, of the same address, was a saloon keeper from 1904-07, a grocer in 1919, a rancher in 1920, and was retired in 1924.
