From the Collection: Collection contains a will, warranty deeds, land titles,and a map, among other documents, showing Tafoya family generational ownership of land in the town of Belen. (See 'Additional Description" listing below.)

  1. Warranty deed from Juan Cruz Baca and Maria Luisa Castiyo de Baca to Seferino Tafoya and Epigmenio Tafoya. 1874
  2. Court decision submitted by Thomas B. Catron regarding land issue. - Seferino Tafoya and Epigmenio Tafoya vs Fernandez Tafoya, Tomás Trujillo, Jose Trujillo, Rafael Jaramillo, José Tafoya and Nestor Jaramillo.1874
  3. Contract for Belen residents to build and maintain an atarque or water dam/reservoir to hold potential flood waters from a nearby canyon. Also discusses water conservation methods, water rights, and payments and work schedule made with the mayordomo or community water coordinator. 1874
