Focusing on the Chicano/a Movement, the collection documents Enriqueta Vásquez' work and interests as an activist, writer, and artist. Her relationships with individuals including Corky Gonzales, Betita Martinez, Rini Templeton, and John Nichols are apparent in the collection. Her involvement with the Chicano/a Movement and Chicano/a civil rights are prominent, as is her commitment to giving voice and prominence to women. Materials relating to The Crusade for Justice, Chicana Studies, immigration, Northern New Mexico land rights and local theatre/culture, Cuba, and Puerta Rico are included, as are issues of El Grito del Norte.
