Scope and Contents

Williams served as Executive Director of the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Jubilee Commission (CCQJC) from mid-1986 through mid-1988.This series includes personal documents relating to the CCQJC, research for his book, Sinking Columbus, and for a project of memoirs on his experience; notes from classes taught and conference papers given relating to Columbus; and correspondence with the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Files from Williams' computer disks are available on microfilm: ZIM CSWR Mfilm MSS 582 BC.
