Scope and Contents

This box contains two t-shirts, one original turquoise military cover for the Navajo Code Talkers Association, a medal awarded to William Dean Wilson by the Native American Warrior Veterans Memorial Association, a Navajo Code Talker Association pin, chevrons, a tie clip, and two other military related pins. It also includes two sets of military dog tags, a plaque for twenty-eight years of service to the Navajo Nation, and a white shell necklace given as a gift to each original Navajo Code Talker from the U.S. Office of the Northern Marianas Delegate to the House of Representatives during the Congressional medal ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in 2001. Also, included is a medallion with a wooden stand commemorating Tinian and the Northern Marianas and a New Mexico ribbon. It also includes a DVD of photographs of Navajo Plains dance regalia; original items were returned to the family.
