Scope and Content

From the Collection: This collection contains 13 lithographic prints by Raul Anguiano, Luis Arenal, Xavier Guerrero, and Leopoldo Mendez (the collection is missing print number 11; print numbers 1 and 15 are two halves of a single image). Some of the prints are signed in pencil on the reverse side. The folio was published by the Taller de Gráfica Popular in Mexico in 1938 as part of a limited edition (this edition is un-numbered). All of the prints are related to General Franco and the Spanish Civil War, with particular focus on the collaboration with Nazis, the role of the church, and civil abuses. Prignitz numberss: 359-373
