Scope and Content

From the Collection: This collection contains correspondence and financial records relating to the business dealings of William H. Bartlett dating from 1864-1920. Some of the businesses represented in this collection include Bartlett-Frazier Co., W.H. Bartlett Co., Adams Cattle Co., The Vermejo Club, Bartlett, Kuhn & Co., S.C. Bartlett Co., and T.A. Grier & Co., among others. The collection also includes some personal correspondence.

Boxes 1-12 contain loose items of general business correspondence, statements of account and receipts dating from 1898-1913. Volumes 1-70 are bound volumes of copy letters dating from 1898-1919. Volumes 71-179 contain loose items of general business correspondence dating from 1869-1919. Volumes 180-208 consist primarily of bound cash journals, financial ledgers, check books, and inventory logs, but also includes two catalogs from hardware wholesale houses, and a collection of horse pedigree lineages and photographs.
