Scope and Contents
contains hand-written and type-written drafts of Tice's essay, "Looking for the Frontier" (See 2; 6). also contains other materials and letters pertaining to the publication of Tice's essay in the South Dakota Review. "Looking for the Frontier" evolved out of a paper written at Southern Methodist University in 1948, entitled "Cow Chip Fires, Boomtown, amd Tall Tales." (See 2; 19).
