Scope and Content
From the Collection:
Photograph collection consists of pictures of people, buildings, and landscapes, mostly taken in New Mexico. Motorcycling in New Mexico is a special focus of the collection, which also includes many professional shots of Albuquerque business establishments, including African American business people, group portraits of railroad employees and administrators at recognition ceremonies, and of local social events (such as weddings and anniversary celebrations). Others of special interest are modern copies of photos showing the Territorial Fair Parade of 1892, the N.T. Armijo building (1892), the Commercial Club (1900), University of New Mexico's Hodgin and Hadley Halls (1902), and a reproduction of an 1880 photo by Ben Wittick of a locomotive.
