Scope and Contents
Gross, Kelly &Co., especially during the 1930's, often purchased and shipped New Mexico sheep and lambs to feeders in the Midwest and Intermountain West who fattened them before market sale for slaughter. In addition G.,K. &Co. for many years shipped sheep and lamb directly from Las Vegas and other points in New Mexico to the stockyards at Chicago and Kansas City.
