Ruben Cobos interviewing a woman, unnamed, but probably Fabiola Cabeza de Baca Gilbert, and apparently in her home, perhaps more from 1975 interviews in Las Vegas, New Mexico, not a lecture or a presentation, related to CDs 351 and 352? Begin at 00:03 and ends at 26:14. Tape starts midway in the interview, conversation (good to fair recording, Cobos and woman are talking about beds, talking about camas, no bed springs, grandmother sleeping on the floor, bed like a little couch, tarimas, benches, bancos, tierra amarilla colored earth, cooking food, cocina, schools, education, 1911-1912, months of school attended, few girls in class, mostly small boys, no heater in school, had to light fire, wood, were few women teachers, mostly men, libros, books for each year, some in Spanish, some in English, language, learned both languages in class, families had little money, little for schools, low salary for teachers, county paid teachers, she was a teacher, taught in Pilar, New Mexico, went to New Mexico Highland University, Las Vegas, conversation, ranch life, foods, cooking, requeson, cheese, recatta, saltatica, epison salt, water sources, los ojos, washing clothes, bathing, medicine, health, ojos, wash and bathe, maromas, marometros, payasos, clowns, circus, gallos, colchas, jerga, carpet, codeswitching into English, Spanish language, Bilingual, Spanglish).
