Scope and Contents
Ruben Cobos. CD 457 is a copy of a Wilcox - Gay Recordio disc, like the size of a 45, Charlotte, Michigan, for home recording two spindle holes. This has Ruben Cobos singing two songs, without accompaniment, good to fair recording, some static noise. Note on one side of disc says (1. La Noche Esta Serena, New Mexico folksong, Ruben Cobos, June 1, 1946; 2. opposite side says El Paloma and La Paloma, New Mexico folksong, also June 1, 1946, he sings that la paloma is in Santa Fe, uses local terms, chiles de verde, etc.).
