Part I of II. (Apparently some other older material from about 1949 was recorded along with or over the May 1974 Santa Fe Folklore Society Conference program on this tape, later the recording returns to the conference program. First apparently from a 1949 recording here is Manuel Antonio Esquibel, La Joya, NM, born 1888, duplicate of CD 376, begins at 00:06 and ends at 1:11, El Bazar del Diablo (song, good recording, singing in Spanish).

Song, La mulita (fair to poor recording, song, singing, Pecos, Colorado); 2. La enfermedad de frios (fair to poor recording, song, singing, indita, traditional music, health).
Scope and Contents More of recording from about 1949, Teresita Gurule, born 1882, Alameda, NM. Duplicate of CD 376. Begins at 5:32 and ends at 6:55. Las Nubes (fair recording, singing, some parts are inaudible).
Scope and Contents Ricardo Archuleta, Cerro, NM. Begins at 7:12 and ends at 7:38. Introduction (fair recording, Dr. Cobos introduces next speaker and the song he will sing, however the recording cuts off abruptly and continues with the New Mexico Folklore Society Conference of 1974 in Santa Fe that began on CD 451).
Scope and Contents Here returns to the New Mexico Folklore Society Conference, Santa Fe, May 1974, Gilberto Benito Cordova. Begins at 7:39 and ends at 40:07. Introduction (good recording, introduction of Benito Cordova); 2. Lecture (good recording, about the New Mexico Spanish custom of dar calabazas, give him squash, pumpkins, wedding, marriage, referring to request by boy for hand of girl and her parents refuse him and send him squashes as the reply, verb, it means to reject or turn down a suitor, dichos about calabazas, rejection, women; and a bout Don Cacahuate, Dona Cebolla, this is an idiom that originated in Mexico and Spain, not original to New Mexico said Cordova).
