Senaida Gomez Romero, b. January 27, 1890, age 82. Taos, NM. Begins at 00:01 and ends at 15:20. (Fair to poor recording). 1. Conversation (unknown man and elderly woman talking with her about good and bad, evil things, diablo, stories, events that happened in their lives, at night, lights, witches, unable to hear the older woman); 2. Conversation, Ball of fire (fair recording, story, personal experience, his horse bucked at seeing a ball of fire, luz, near river going toward Embudo, New Mexico, brujas, witches, plaza de Taos, this occurred seventy two years before, another unidentified woman tells of her experience with witches, main informat confirms there are many tales of witches); 3. Story of the tecolote witch, owl (poor recording, about his neighbor and her son, sixteen years old, who was bewitched, curse, could not eat, agua de manutismo, died, women); 4. Story, woman who was bewitched (poor recording, cat in her old house, she moved and cat still in her new house, cat even followed her to her coffin, women, death, muerte, witches); 5. Witch story, Dona Cuca de la Cruz, and old woman (stories of brujas, Maria, informant's father sees a bird in house, father dies, muerte, death, a drowning witch calls for informant to rescue her, he saves her, he is made to be sick with a disease also, women); 2. Conversation (personal experiences); 3. Story, Part I (informant hears two women talking about killing him, scared, almost has a heart attack over it, cont. on CD 292).
