Scope and Contents
Juan Marquez, b. 1892, Las Vegas, NM, now in Albuquerque. (Some of these stories by Mr. Marquez also found on CD 201 and CD 127, with different titles). 1. El hombre que tenia un solo hijo; 2. El enganoso (story, cuento, man discovers magic fruits that make him ill or well, he makes the king and queen sick, dresses up as a doctor and cures them, is rewarded with money. He goes to next town, marries the daughter of that king, but previous royal couple attends, discover him, he kills them, trickery); 2. El viejito, la cabra and los leperos o Los viejos y su gorrita or La gorrita magica (explained at CD 201); 3. El joven embustero o El borreguito que no tenia asaduras o El que renovaba a los viejos (explained at CD 201); 4. La Cenicienta, (Cinderella, fragment, explained at CD 201).
