Datos personales (personal information and introduction, speaker does not want to be despised, has traveled, thanks listeners and people of his town, loves his people); 2. Corrido (short song, in year 1900, I sing to everyone here, I am not leaving); 2. Versos de la Entriega de novios (at nine in morning, church, parents in law, unite, wedding, marriage, go parents wash their hands, altar, ring, no mother or father just husband and wife, priest, four roses, song as heard in Hernandez, El Guique, Chamita, area etc.).
Viola Martinez, b. 1929, Ojo Caliente, now in Velarde, NM. (Good recording). 1. Datos personales (personal information); 2. Entriega de novios (the bird and I say Hail Virgin Mary, four roses this morning for godmother, godfather, husband and wife, yellow ring, no mother or father just husband and wife, cloak, virginity, family cries, priest, they say goodbye, wedding, marriage, women).
Juan Maes, b. 1901, Velarde, NM. 1. Datos personales (personal information, born May, 31, 1942, worked in La Bajada, at U.S. Soil Conservation Service work camp (SCS); 2. Relato sobre un negro que escapa (a chiste, joke, 1942, speaker is eating and servant warns that an African American Black prisoner at Santa Fe penitentiary has escaped with rifle, searched for by police, friend Tomas Maestas dresses as a Black man and is screaming, speaker is scared, laughs at this practical joke); 3. Relato de las viboras (in June snakes in the field, finds snake under stove, they all look for it and kill it); 4. Relato de los enjarradores (men that plaster, plasterers, old worker named Antonio Valerio is offend when called un viejito, little old man). 5. Conversacion (life in SCS work camp, plastering walls, wage $2 a day for 8 hours, 20 to 25 men from nearby Pueblos worked for U.S. government, lived in a tent, had wood burning stove, worked two years, 1941-1943, cold during winters, went home on Saturday afternoons and back on Sunday afternoon, traveled to the camp, 25 - 30 miles to La Bajada canyon south of Santa Fe).
