Lowe, 1971: Anonymous. Penitente Easter service, Holy Week, Semana Santa (fair to poor recording, background noise, village unknown, in Northern New Mexico).

Sister Marie Samora, 1971: Salvador Munoz, b. 1878, Old Albuquerque, NM. 1. La muerte madrina (folk tale, while man is eating lunch, Mother Death comes and asks him to share the food, he does, because Death is fair to poor, rich, mean and good, not partial, etc.); 2. El hombre, su hijo y el burro (folk tale, while boy, father and donkey go through town, one or other are criticized for not riding the donkey, cannot please everyone).

Anonymous male. Adivinanza (riddle about the needle, no solution).

Salomon Benavides, b. 1909, (or Solomon Benavides?), Old Albuquerque, NM. 1. Cuento de adivinanza (story of man that king puts in prison, asks a riddle of the king, who can't answer, so king frees the prisoner); 2. La mujer (anecdote, woman Eve was not formed from the rib of Adam but from the tail of a dog, humor, women).

Anonymous female. Adivinanzas (four riddles, among them la nube, cloud, el puente, bridge, and las llaves, keys).

Salomon Benavides, b. 1909, Old Albuquerque, NM. Cuento (Part I, a man going to church but never gives offering, tithe, cont. on CD 199).
