Mrs. Andres Viera, Raquel Viera, b. 1920, Albuquerque, NM. 1. El muneco de brea, (Part II, a man places a dummy made of tar, tar baby, to snare the animal eating his vegetables, a rabbit gets caught but frees himself, the rabbit then is about to trick a fox, conclusion, folk tale); 2. El coyote y el conejo (folk tale, outstanding incidents said Cobos, coyote and the cheese - moon, the school where the rabbit has some children studying, fire, etc.); 3. La mujer floja (a husband cannot get his lazy wife to work, she recites a rhyme to show that she should do only one task per day, folk tale, women, marriage); 4. Adivinanza (one riddle, about coal); 5. La Llorona (another version, legend, a ugly woman meets a blind man, both fall in love, one day man goes near the river, falls in and drowns, woman loses her mind, leaves area but occasionally appears near the river crying for her lost lover, women, legend); 6. La promesa (the mayor of Tome promises a Comanche chieftain that his son may marry the mayor's daughter when she comes of age, some years later the Comanches come to Tome, expecting the wedding to take place, when the mayor breaks his promise, the Comanches raze the village, massacre, taking women and children with them, captives, cautivos, among them the daughter of the mayor, Native American Indian, women); 7. Los animales (some farm animales, tired of working, escape one night into the countryside, soon they meet up with some lions that gave them a hard time and threaten to eat them, the animals then decide to return to their home on the farm, folk tale, moral story, accept life).
