Trujillo, 1972: Emilia Salazar Trujillo, b. 1882, Raton, NM. 1. La hija de la hija en la vidriera. (a king's wife and her baby, sequel to the earlier story in CD 101, while the king is away at war, girl gives birth, witches hired by the girl's mother in law exchange a puppy for the baby, king banishes her, later he learns the truth, kills the witches and is reunited with his wife and child; 2. El indio y su hijo que se caso (Native American Indian family, a father goes to court against his son who wants to live upstairs with his wife, son gets a lawyer and they go to court, clever reply of the father to the lawyer, wins the case, marriage).

Sousa, 1969: Sofia Gurule, b. 1893, Placitas, NM. 1. Genoveva de Brabante (folktale, king goes of to war, leaves Genoveva home expecting their baby, the mayordomo Golo tries to seduce her, she refuses, he tells king she is bad, incarcerates her and sends her to forest to be killed, leader of group releases her, she raises baby in forest on milk of doe, king finds her later, live happily ever after until she dies, women); 2. Rafaelito y Carmencita (Spanish version of Hansel and Gretel, with local variations, New Mexico, folk tale, see CD 147 and CD 173).
