Lowe, 1972: Estanislao Garcia, b. 1892, Espanola, NM. Fair recording. 1. Part II, El embrujao (witch story); 2. Las tres piedritas (folk tale, man says he eats rocks with his meal, temps a spinster to cook a goof meal for him, but really leaves the rocks behind like bones); 3. El indio y los cien pesos (folk tale, a Spanish family attempts to swindle an Native American Indian out of $100, the Indian's quick wit foils their plan); 4. El tecolote (witch story, an owl that is shot turns into an Native American Indian); 5. El viajero (witch story, man from Chimayo, wakes up, finds his pants have been sheared off during the night, blames it on a witch); 6. La venta de indias (local history, the buying of and role of Native American Indian captives cautivos criados in Spanish households, ransomed, purchased for $300, servants, later released, Garcia said two worked in State Capitol, one was an assessor); 7. Los huevos aguarados (anecdote, chicken eggs which are to hatch called aguerados, same term interchangeable for gringo Anglo balls, testicles).
Sousa, 1969: Sofia Gurule, Albuquerque, NM. 1. La vida de Santa Rita, (folk tale, adventurous legends of Santa Rita, how justice of God is revealed); 2. San Cristobal, (folk tale, story of St. Christopher, change in his name from Olsero to Cristobal, the saint blinds a king then restores his sight with his own blood, later death of San Cristobal).

Suceso (anecdote, two girls observe a nude man in the willows, are taken to court but are acquitted, what they saw was little, women); 2. La mascara (folk tale, a man uses his mask to scare off thieves, they think he is Satan, leave their loot behind); 3. La intencion es lo que vale (fok tale, it is the intention that actually counts, a youth tried to steal a lamb, fails, tells priest in confession, offers priest money, but he doesn't take it, church, religion); 4. El maromero que se fue a confesar (anecdote, two ladies intending to go to confession leave after seeing an acrobat who had gone to confession making sumersaults, they thought the penance would be too difficult for them, women); 5. Part II, Los compadres leperos (folk tale, a couple is tricked into believing in a rabbit that follows orders and a reed that revives the dead, muerte, folk tale).
