Scope and Contents
Trujillo: Jose T. Paez, b. 1893, Raton, NM. 1. La familia sorda (anecdote, involved story about the deaf family, each misunderstands the other and does foolish things); 2. El hijo del doctor (folk tale, son graduates from medical school, while his father is away, son takes over the office, son cures his father's patient of many years not knowing that money from this patient paid his way to college, school, education, medicine).
Trujillo: J. Felix Trujillo, b. 1904, Raton, NM. 1. Las tres profesiones (folk tale, a compadre reprimands a father who has educated a thief (attorney), an assassin (doctor), and a vagabond (priest), distrust of law, church and medicine); 2. Adivinanza, (riddle, bautismo).
Trujillo: Patsy Paez, b. 1915, Raton, NM. 1. Adivinanza (riddle, New Mexico, mother has a sheet so large she cannot fold it, father has so much money can't count it, they are el cielo y las estrellas); 2. El chiste (she calls this a chiste, it is a verse, folk poetry, about the rising and setting sun and rain).

El hombre que se reia cuando habia luna llena (relato, story of a shepherd who goes crazy during a full moon, kills his partner, murder, crime, muerte, lies that partner has departed, and later in life during a full moon confesses crime to his wife, she turn him in to authorities, sheep herding, women).

Trujillo: Delfinio Alcon, b. 1895, Raton, NM. 1. Algo del barri, (folk wisdom, which weighs more a barril or a bacin, barrel or wash pan); 2. Dos cazadores (folk poetry, two hunters and their encounter with a wolf, Juan Carranza y Pruden and Pedro Ponce, humor); 3. El sacerdote y el nino (anecdote, where is God asks the priest, child replies, children, religion, church); 4. Saber del amor (prayer, recited, proper way to make love).

Chiste de dos sacos (anecdote, two old men thinking, how many bags needed to contain all the dirt in that mountain, one concludes if sack ia as big as mountain, then need only one, philosophy); 2. Cuento de un rico que tenia dos muchachos (folk tale, two brothers' quest to obtain the hand of a princess, barely audible); 3. El rey y sus tres hijos (folk tale, a young protagonist can accomplish Herculean deeds, barely audible).

Hombre que fue a Wyoming, Los tres consejos (folk tale, man leaves wife and child and goes to Wyoming for twenty years, bits of advice for a successful homecoming); 3. Hijos del rey son (folk tale, queen has two baby boys, instead midwife shows kings two puppies, king exiles wife and boys, they are brought up by an elderly couple, eventually they vindicate their mother the queen with the help of a little bird) ; 4. Verso (good to fair recording, folk poetry, one quatrain of valse chiquiado, chiquiao); 5. Los que iban de viaje (anecdote, near Wagon Mound, traveling parents leave a newborn child with their mare and her new born colt, as they depart see a cloud of dust, Dad declares - see son is already riding his colt, women, family); 6. Adivinanza, (riddle about baptism); 7. Part I, Cuento de tres hijos, the professionals, father is proud of sons, one a doctor, other an attorney and third a priest, his compadre calls them the thief, the assassin and the vagabond, views of church, medicine, law, incomplete, see CD 20).
