Turner, 1971: Edwin Berry, b. 1915, Tome, NM. Good to fair recording, songs with comments. El venadito (Part II); Me case con una huera, La huera, El capotin, Una noche serena, La misera, etc. Customs (Tome daybreak activities, morning, mentions Vicentita Montoya, a teacher related to educator Atanasio Montoya, commentary, activities prayers, alabanzas like El Alba, Cristianos cantad, Jesus de mi alma, mentions intermarriage, marriage, women, mestizos, sings other religious songs).
DeFlice, 1969: Lelo Ortega, b. 1901, Albuquerque, NM. 1. Cuentos (folk tale, Bertoldo and a folk poet exchange versos, Bertoldo spits on the poet); 2. El hombre del mar (folk tale, man is thrown into the sea and survives three months, is rescued by a ghost, goes to the wedding of three daughters of the king, incomplete); 3. Estrellita marinera (fair to poor recording, folk song, mariner's star, sailor, sailing, sea).

El alma en pena (folk tale, ghost of a dead priest lingers in a church asking his parishioners for special masses for the salvation of his soul); 2. El tesoro (treasure story, the ghost of a rich man appears to a mother superior, nun, telling her where to find money he meant to donate to her convent, church, religion, women).
Chavez, 1972: Patricio Chavez, b. 1903, Monte Aplanado, NM, town west of Mora. 1. Los amigos, el difunto y los ladrones (good recording, folk tale, in order not to pay his debts, a man pretends to be dead, a friend expects payment and goes to the church to collect, thieves come in to devide their loot, when man sits up they are scared away leaving their loot for the two men, death, burial, funeral); 2. Pedro de Urdemalas (folk tale, Pedro and brother Juan living with their mother, Pedro overfeeds her and she dies, blames Juan, other episodes); 3. El conejo que hacia mandados (PartI, folk tale, variation of a tale in which a rabbit is sold to a king who complains that the rabbit left and did not do errands for him).
