Martinez, 1972: Andres Martinez, b. 1904, Santa Fe, NM. 1. Dichos y conversacion (family history and two sayings, dichos, No hay experiencia come la que el tiempo da; El que huye y llega a casa cuenta lo que le paga); 2. La tegua cocida y no cosida (relato, story, Andres' great-grandfather, Jesus Gonzalez, is a campero, herder at sheep camp, his companion Pablo Vigil, asks him to sew his moccasin, but Jesus cooks it instead, word play, coser, cocer, language); 3. Usted, mi senora , es coja (anecdote, see CD 21B); 4. Los ciboleros y el atole con cebadilla (relato, story Andres' great-grandfather is out hunting buffalo, is constantly hasseled by Native American Indians wanting food so he makes an atole, corn gruel with a strong laxative for them); 5. Martinez, 1972: Tranquilino Lujan, b. 1892, Pecos, NM. 1. El padre Jerome los aconsejaba, Jeronimo (reminiscence on the advice of a good priest, Father Jerome); 2. Adivinanzas (riddles, two, el hacha y la letra O); 3. Versos el Negrito poeta y del Viejo Vilmas (twelve couplets from the trovos del Viejo Vilmas and his poetic debates with Garcia, Taveras, and Cienfuegos); 4. El indio Barbitas (a Native American Indian Barbitas is committing atrocities and is later lured out of a cave and killed, wife is taken captive); 5. El que mato un venado (anecdote, story of Alejandro Abeyta, nicknamed El Venado, how he killed a deer, with a calilla); 6. El oso bailador (mentira, tall tale of a fiddler who plays to a dancing bear); 7. El nino recien nacido que hablo (relato, story of a three day old baby who speaks, if true, what will he be like when he grows up).
