Golden: Francisco Martinez, b. 1890, Chama, NM. Good recording. 1. Conversacion (reminiscence, personal and family history. father Ricardo Martinez and mother Porfidia Delgado y Martinez, both born in Abiquiu but moved to Raton, NM); 2. Indita de Rupero Gonzalez (New Mexico historial ballad, indita set in Sandoval County, composed by Marcelino Archuleta); 3. La vida de los borregueros (reminiscence, fifty-five years sheepherding, shepherd in Colorado and New Mexico, life, cooking, camping, finding pastures, education of a shepherd, herding in Navajo area, La Estrella, Montrose, Colorado); 4. Corrido de Jose Victoria (folk song, Las Pochas de California, humor, Mexican marries a California girl who has adopted modern ways, song learned from Sabino Archuleta, Francisco's brother-in-law, was also a shepherd in Utah, Mexico, women); 5. Penitentes, (reminiscence, flagellation, crucifixion of Gabino Trujillo, death, Holy Week traditions, women Penitentes as Abiquiu, religion); 6.
