Romero: Aurelia Gurule, Placitas, NM. La hija de dulce (folk tale, almost inaudible).
Romero: E.R. Romero, b. 1914, Cuba, NM. 1. Dichos, twelve examples (read from the notes of Amado Romero, the father, read by his son, E.R. Romero); 2. Adivinanza, one, 3. Versos (five quatrains read by E.R. Romero, taught to him by Amadeo Romero).
Martin: Ana Guerra, Albuquerque, NM. 1. Rima (folk poetry, children, badly garbled rhyme, almost inaudible); 2. Mario y las tunas, se lo comio la tuna (se las comio la luna, folk take, same).

Torres: Severo Aragon, b. 1968, Santa Rosa, NM. 1. Good recording. El borreguero (folk tale, first half missing, this is the second half of the story, shepherd goes ahead and dances with a black sheep,girl no one wanted to dance with, camp boss said he should wait to be asked to dance not invite others to dance, women); 2. El coyote (anecdote, two puppies bite a coyote pup, little coyote flees to the mountain and tells them off); 3. Los ninos con un chang, (anecdote, two brothers and their pet monkey, who imitates bad behavior of the boys, children); 4. Verso (a verse about Anton Chico, New Mexico, composed by Aragon); 5. El Americanito (anecdote, little Anglo American boy from Ohio forced by class mates to copulate with a goat, tells the teacher, school, education, bullying, peer group pressure, sexual abuse, children).
Torres: Restituto Sandoval, b. 1913, Bernalillo, NM. 1. Versos (folk poetry, one poem, on philosophy, theology); 2. El borracho (anecdote, drunkard comes to mother with story he is going to be assasinated, drinking); 3. El ranchero (anecdote, girl traveler stays in a stall on the ranch, meets two men and a bear, men paid for sex with her but not the bear, women); 4. Los borregueros (anecdote, the shepherds come out of the mountains, go to a brothel, prostitute, girls liked doney better than the men, women); 5. El candidato (the sheriff candidate, anecdote, man and farmer's daughter, he resisting sex with her to save his reputation, women, politics); 6. El borreguero (shepherd, his wife and her lover, animal leg bone to warn the lover, women, etc.); 7. El trabajador del molino (anecdote, lumber mill worker asks wife to get job to help make ends meet, she said she only needs to go to the local bar for that, women); 8. Los chicanos en Nueva York, (anecdote, New Yorker, Californian and New Mexico Chicano in a bar comparing first skyscrapers, then tall palm trees, and to top them both Chicano says women in New Mexico have babies through the rear - almost, child birth, New York, California,); 9. El trabajador y el nino (anecdote, woman's lover comes to house, brings gift of cheese, when husband comes home unexpectedly lover hides under the bed, the little son goes to the lover asking if he wants cheese and exposes him, women); 10. El jugador (anecdote, wife, lover, husband and son, how son spoils the plot to catch the lover with the wife, women).
Torres: Ricardo Farfan, b. 1913, Bernalillo, NM. Good recording. 1. La escuela, poem about school, being a temple, learning, education, virtues); 2. En economizar (declamation, definition of the economy); 3. Adivinanzas (riddles, three, la toalla, las llaves, etc.); 4. Comidas, declamation (compares foods, cookingn Anglo American food, United States, Mexico - Mexican food and in Australia); 5.
