Ogawa, 1970: Lito Emilio Baros, b. 1903, Bernalillo, NM. 1. Part II, El chiquiado, chiquiao, y Cruz Hurtado; 2. Cruz Hurtado, cazador, y el venadito (fair recording, mentira, tall tale, without his buckshot bullets, Cruz shoots with his flintlock - a deer with cherry pits, later he sees the deer, had grown a cherry tree like antlers); 3. Don Cacahuate (anecdote, in dark instead of a donkey harnesses a she - bear to carry his wood home); 4. Cruz Hurtado y su carro que volvio solo, (mentira, tall tale, Cruz, when stuck in mud, left his wood cart behind, when the leather straps dried and shrunk, they pulled wagon - so it came home by itself).

El conejo, la vibora y el chile (folk tale, rabbit find a chile pod, discovers a snake has taken over his cave, leaves the chile for the snake and runs off); 2. El borreguito y la vibora (folk tale, a lamb, a snake and a fox); 3. El cuervo y el chanate (folk tale, crow's advice to little black bird how to get away when he sees a man); 4. El perico que compro lena (anecdote, traditional story of the parrot ordering wood from the woodman and the master getting had at him and also the cat); 5. La bruja, el rey y la reina (folk tale, the witch, the king and the princess that the witch turns into a dove); 6. La Doce Verdades del Mundo (folk tale, variation of the story of the devil taking a man's son, demanding the man recite the twelve truths, and man finding someone who knows them); 7. Los astronomos, (folk tale, another account of the weathermen not predicting rain and the donkey getting it right, weather, see CD 12).
DeFlice, 1969: Cipriano Castillo, b. 1902, Los Chavez, NM. Good recording. 1. Alberto y Elena (folk tale, two children and their dog Otelo, who saves them from attack by a bull, their father makes a special collar for dog, children); 2. Verso (folk poetry, verse with numbers counting and words about catching a rabbit); 3. Adivinanzas (three riddles); 4. Los ninos comidos por los lobos (relato, parents leave children alone, they go outside and wolf eats them, discipline, family, danger); 5. Adivinanzas (riddle about death, muerte, burial of a deceased Native American Indian)); 6. El rey de la plaza (folk tale, Genoveva de Brabante, Genoveva de Bravante, king thinks his queen is immoral, banishes her, she goes to forest has a baby, deer helps her, later king finds her, learns the truth, were only lies about her, they live happily every after, women, marriage).
