Sanchez: Lucinda Sanchez, b. 1913, Belen, NM. Los que jugaban a la baraja todas las noches, (anecdote, a group has habit of playing cards every night until a monster comes and frightens them into stopping).
Sanchez: Adan Sanchez, b. 1918, Belen, NM. Los de la politica (relato, story of Adan, asked and got father's permission to attend some political dances at Los Chavez, when he goes next time without asking permission he is caught in the lie, politics, respect for parent, dating).
Sanchez: Danny Sanchez, b. 1941, Belen, NM. 1. La troquita (relato, stories about his little truck and problems he had); 2. Las patas largas (relato, when Danny in school, girl with long legs sat behind him, put her legs under his desk and nearly toppled him over, education, children).
Sanchez: Lucinda Sanchez, b. 1913, Belen, NM. Recuerdos de juventud (reminiscence, memories of her youth, children, girl, school without buses, unpaved roads, people from mountains coming to Belen to trade salt and osha for chile, people from Los Jarales, jaralenos, jaras, those from Bosque bosquenos, jongos,etc.).

Martinez, 1972: Adelaido Martinez, b. 1895, Medanales, NM, Southeast of Abiquiu. 1. El rico y el pobre (decima, folk poetry, Adelaido is father of Jeanette, he is a shepherder, tries to explain the difference between rich and poor, comment from Cobos, may he and his herder friend rest in peace playing their favorite game of cunquian).; 2. Una triste sepultura (decima, ten line stanza, poetry, how death is equalizer of all social classes, rich and poor, muerte, burial, funeral, sepulture, cemetery); 3. El Potro (folk poetry, verse, humor, man tried to sell old horse as a colt, only 150 years old); 4. Tres muchachos buscan trabajo con Don San Antonio (folk tale, variation of three bits of advice, this time ask for help from St. Anthony); 5. Los tres consejos, (Part I, folk tale).
